After we greet you and answer any questions you might have, we'll take great pleasure in taking you out and showing you what we mean.

Busy Arusha is an essential part of safari life here in northern Tanzania and most travelers pass through at some stage. Whether you’re on your way out on safari or here for a little longer, you’ll catch a glimpse of streets filled with energy and color.

Day 2

Tarangire National Park

Explore one of Tanzania’s most rewarding national parks, a land of big baobab trees, big elephants and big cats. No wonder this ends up being the favorite park in Tanzania for many visitors. Sightings of wildebeest, giraffes, hippos, buffaloes, baboons, vervet monkeys and zebras are also almost guaranteed. Lions are plentiful here – Tarangire is home to one of Tanzania’s healthiest lion populations. While you’ll have to work a little harder to see a cheetah or leopard, it will only enhance your excitement when you do. You can also look forward to classic safari scenery – savannah plains, river woodlands and rocky hills.

Morning

This morning you get to enjoy a guided game drive through Tarangire, one of the best wildlife destinations in Tanzania's north. Elephant sightings are almost guaranteed.

Afternoon

Take a break in your day by enjoying lunch with us this in Tarangire National Park.

Late Afternoon till Early Evening

You'll be joining us in Tarangire National Park for a guided game drive. It's a fantastic opportunity to see some of the animals you came so far to see.

Rest of Day

Relax and generally take it easy to allow yourself to both process and recover from all of the excitement that you’ve enjoyed on your safari so far.

Day 3 to 5

Serengeti National Park

Unesco World Heritage–listed Serengeti National Park will almost certainly be one of the highlights of your safari, and it's the kind of place that very quickly becomes a favorite. That's partly because of the wildlife: this is one of the best places anywhere to see lions, leopards and cheetahs. Although every big cat sighting is special, they're only a part of the story here: there's a good chance you'll also see elephants, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, buffaloes and spotted hyenas and much more. Many travelers' love affair with the Serengeti is also because of its landscapes: expect vast savannah grasslands, acacia trees and pretty hill country.

Transfer by Road, Marera Valley Lodge to Serengeti National Park
A guided game drive through Serengeti National Park is one of the best safari experiences you can have anywhere in Africa. Apart from the signature savannah grasslands and the park's amazing wildlife, your guide will show you all that's good about the Serengeti.

Activities Day 4

You'll be heading down more safari trails in search of animals in Serengeti National Park when we take you on a guided game drive. This is the best thing about many safaris, and you'll hopefully see many animals.

Afternoon

Share a sundowner with us in Serengeti National Park. It's the perfect way to end your day, a sunset view over a few drinks.

Early Morning

Your early morning game drive is a wonderful opportunity for you to see the Serengeti at its best. In the golden morning light, you'll look for animals at the ideal time of day: this is when they're most active and easiest to find and see.

Take a break in your day by enjoying lunch with us this in Serengeti National Park.

Evening

It's time for your evening game drive in the Serengeti. It's a fantastic time to be out exploring the park, with cooler temperatures and softer evening or late afternoon light. It's also among the best times of day for seeing animals.

Relax and generally take it easy to allow yourself to both process and recover from all of the excitement that you’ve enjoyed on your safari so far.

Optional Day 4

Early Morning

Rise above Serengeti National Park in the magical light of early morning in a hot-air balloon. The views are simply incredible, and even elephants look like ants from up here.

Embalakai Serengeti Camp

Tented camp Class: Luxury

At Embalakai Camp you're immersed in the wild Serengeti alongside a river and with savannah views stretching to the horizon. The wood-floored, canvas-walled safari tents are safe and secure, but you can watch and listen to the wildlife as it passes right by your tent. You can also enjoy your meal or a drink under the stars. The location is the ideal Serengeti base as it is deep in wildlife territory but away from the other camps and lodges.

Day 6

Ngorongoro Crater

Your day in and around Ngorongoro Crater could just be one of the most memorable of your whole safari. You’ll explore the crater rim and then drive down onto the crater floor, where the critically endangered black rhinos are the stars of an astonishing wildlife show. You’ll almost certainly see large-tusked elephants, at least one of the Ngorongoro’s four lion prides, and wandering clans of spotted hyenas. It also just happens to be one of Africa’s most beautiful corners, a hidden world where you’ll be surrounded by steep, deep-green crater walls, a salt lake, forests and hippo-filled waterways.

Ngorongoro Highlands

Temperatures are lovely and cool in Ngorongoro Highlands, which is perfect for exploring the forests, and seeing the wildlife (elephant, buffalo and maybe even leopard) and views.

Keep an eye out for wildlife this morning as our transfer to the next part of your safari doubles as a game drive.

Afternoon

This afternoon you'll go on an excursion to visit the Maasai in Ngorongoro Highlands.

Afternoon till Evening

On this morning's guided game drive, we'll take you down into Ngorongoro Crater; the drive down is one of the most thrilling possible approaches for a day of wildlife viewing. You'll be down in the crater for most of the day looking for lions, hyenas, black rhinos and more.

Ngorongoro Crater

Today you’ll visit Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most beautiful natural sights in Africa, a place where you’ll experience otherworldly beauty with extraordinary wildlife. Watch as, from above, morning mist rolls up and over the crater rim, and notice how the steep walls suggest a place unlike any other. Down below on the crater floor, explore a lost world preserved in a state of pristine isolation, one that shelters lions and hyenas, elephants and black rhinos, flamingos and golden jackals. There are also forests, hippo-filled lakes, a salt pan and hyena dens, and you’ll never lose the sense that you’ve stumbled into a safari theme park where everything’s wild.

Lake Manyara National Park

Almost everyone who visits Lake Manyara National Park falls in love with this unique park. Lake Manyara is most famous for being one of the few parks in Africa where its lions climb trees. It's not unusual to look up into the branches of Lake Manyara's forest canopy and find yourself face-to-face with a lion (or even an entire pride). Large populations of elephants and olive baboons are further highlights, while the backdrop to all wildlife sightings here is the dramatic Rift Valley escarpment which rises over the park's western boundary, or pretty Lake Manyara which dominates the east.
