This is where all of your planning becomes a reality: your safari starts now. Tanzania is such a wonderful country when it comes to wildlife and beautiful landscapes. After we greet you and answer any questions you might have, we'll take great pleasure in taking you out and showing you what we mean.

Arusha is an important part of your northern Tanzanian safari and not just because of its position as a gateway to the safari parks of the country's north. With its dynamic street life and markets, fascinating museums and enticing street food, it's an exciting city that deserves exploring.

Activities Day 1

Upon arrival, you will meet a Shiri Adventures representative who will assist with your transfer to the hotel. The hotel is well-equipped to ensure a comfortable stay, offering cozy rooms, hot water, friendly staff, a swimming pool, and Internet access.

In the evening, at 17:00, join our general pre-trek briefing and gear check at the hotel. Our managers will prepare you for the climb and ensure that you have everything you need.
You will be transferred from the airport in Kilimanjaro Airport.

Rest of Day

Relax and generally take it easy to allow yourself to both process and recover from all of the excitement that you’ve enjoyed on your safari so far.

Day 2

Tarangire National Park

If you’ve never been to Tarangire (and even if you have) you’re in for a real treat. Tarangire is filled with giants – baobab trees all across the park, as well as elephants, lots of them. But that’s just the beginning. Of the big cats, you’ll probably see lions, and cheetahs and leopards are around, too. And it’s impossible to miss the wildebeest, giraffes, hippos, buffaloes and zebras. Your backdrop for all of this is one of the prettiest in northern Tanzania, with a memorable mix of river woodland, open plains and rolling hills. And some vantage points to take it all in.

Explore fantastic Tarangire on a guided game drive that will take you out among the baobab trees to look for lions, elephants and more.

Serengeti National Park

Visiting the Unesco World Heritage–listed Serengeti is one of the best things you can do on safari. This is a park filled with some of the biggest populations of wildlife in Africa. Here in the Serengeti, there is a very good chance that you will see lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, spotted hyenas, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest and so many other species. The endless horizons of the savannah grasslands are the perfect backdrop for seeing so many animals. And there's no better safari image than the sun setting deep red behind a silhouetted acacia tree deep in the Serengeti.

Ngorongoro Highlands (Day 3)

Temperatures are lovely and cool in Ngorongoro Highlands, which is perfect for exploring the forests, and seeing the wildlife (elephant, buffalo and maybe even leopard) and views.

Transfer by Road, Manyara's Secret to Serengeti National Park
You'll get to know Serengeti National Park in the best possible way on a guided game drive. Led by an expert guide, you'll drive out across the park's famous savannahs to look for the incredible wildlife (big cats, elephants and more) that calls the park home.

Late Morning

It could just be one of the highlights of your whole safari when we take you to visit the Maasai in Ngorongoro Highlands.

Evening

In Serengeti National Park, you'll join us for a sundowner, that classic safari tradition of having a few drinks in a beautiful place while you watch the sunset.

Activities Day 4

You'll be heading down more safari trails in search of animals in Serengeti National Park when we take you on a guided game drive. This is the best thing about many safaris, and you'll hopefully see many animals.

Evening

We'll take you to enjoy the sunset and a sundowner at one of our favorite places in Serengeti National Park.

Early Morning

There are no better views in Tanzania than the ones you'll enjoy on your dawn balloon ride over the Serengeti. Viewing the scenery and wildlife from above is an amazing experience.

Ngorongoro Crater

Looking out from the rim of this extraordinary volcanic crater is like gazing down upon a lost world of wildlife and astonishing beauty. The drive down into the crater will be just as special, taking you down onto the crater floor where nature rules and no human being may pass the night. You'll spend the best part of a day exploring this remarkable place, seeing its lions, hyenas, black rhinos, elephants, flamingos and so much more. And when it comes time to leave, you'll keep looking back over your shoulder trying to hold these experiences in your memory.

As we drive you to the next part of your safari, you'll be enjoying a game drive at the same time.
On this morning's guided game drive, we'll take you down into Ngorongoro Crater; the drive down is one of the most thrilling possible approaches for a day of wildlife viewing. You'll be down in the crater for most of the day looking for lions, hyenas, black rhinos and more.
